An Accomplishment

Ever since I set my mind for graduate school, I knew getting a paper published will be the first step! This is one step closer to that. Exactly what I need to tell me all my efforts were worth it.

A big thank you to Dr.Connie, where this would have been impossible without her.

Thursdays #6

One memorable week it was. Many things accomplished, many responsibilities taken and many great moments spent with great people. Anyways, I don't feel like typing much, got tired of writing for a moment.

Moral of the week
Whatever makes you happy is the right thing to do.

لقد أسمعت لو ناديت حياً ولكن لا حياة لمن تنادي

It took some courage for me to decide that the best way to live is through creating my own world, with my rules and my own people. Looking for stability I created this world been 4 walls thinking everything is going to be under my control.

The sad reality is even in that world nothing is stable. People come in and the next day their gone. It is only human nature for that to happen and there is nothing I can do.

Sometimes, I wish there was a pause button and once clicked everything remains the same. I can then sit back with no worry of things changing or people and life moving on.

On a second note, the only constant thing is change.

Sometimes I feel that my greatest listener is someone that appears in the dark, it glows through its mid-shift and goes back to dim later. Yes, the night itself. Having the night is such a great lesson reminding me that life has its dark side. Too dim, too calm and too lonely at times.

حرك الليل فؤاده
نافضا عنه رماده
مشعلا نيران ذكرى
سابت منه رقاده
ماالذي ابكي عيونا
ضحكت فيها السعاده
أيها الليل ترفق
بالذي يخفى سهاده

Thursdays #4

This week was very interesting and I think I am getting back to reality! "About Time"! I have mixed emotions, I am excited that I started to get things accomplished and enjoy my time but there is much I wish I can do but can't.

You know when you want something to happen so bad but you have no hands in it and you just wish for it to happen your way? You just keep wishing.

Moral of the week

Seize the moment.

Week Highlights

  • Attended faculty and staff meeting and I seriously think it is a waste of time and blabber. Makes me worried about the future of this institute.

  • Got officially employed in research. Looking forward to learning more!

I have no photographs this week *oops* I will try shoot some later.

PS. This is the 4th Thursdays post *yikes* a month already?!

Have a nice weekend!

Thursdays #3

This week passed in a blink of an eye! It was very productive, intensive and joyful. I finally feel I am accomplishing something even if it's as simple as getting an assignment done.

I am very excited for Sunday 10.10.10 because I will be having an important meeting that may be one of the doors into my future!

I appreciate every single blessing I have more and more.

Moral of the week

It only takes 10 seconds to turn me into the happiest person ever!

Up and About

Yesterday was a great day, I had a smile all day long. Thank God for that. Woke up too early today seems like yesterdays happiness paid of well! Decided it's time to understand some finance I have been ditching since the brain is really at a perfect state to work now.

Today will be another great day Inshalla!

Stop-Motion Attempt #2

My second attempt in stop motioning! it was very exhausting. 202 photographs and 2 hrs of shooting. I was REALLY excited to get back into doing this and was so thrilled that I wonder why am I a finance student.

These are images from the pre-making of the video. I love editing music and making it as I wish for it to sound!

Enjoy the final product!

Life Goes On

It takes day's like this to understand that life goes on and that although we wish for it to be as we would like we should just accept what we get and be thankful. We are eventually lucky in one way or another.

A famous proverb says "Life is a bridge. Cross over it, but build no house on it." Nothing like that shows how uncertain life is, and why BOTHER dwelling on certain things when all life does is tick-tock while you stand still.

Today, I learned to let go, to move on & to accept and be glad whatever life gave me. I stood back more stronger then I ever was with a big smile on my face.

Life is one great teacher with much more to learn.
