Welcome August

We finally welcome August which means I go back to being a little bit busy. Yes finally. I start working on a research paper for a conference due end of September. I am excited to start using my brain again after this summer freeze.

On the other hand Switzerland welcomes it with some celebration. Today is the national day here- In which we are anticipating some celebration around town tonight.

So I decided to try visualize how they actually celebrate it during the day. Came to the conclusion that they are not anywhere close to how we celebrate ours! hehe. Maybe it is unfair to compare a town like this to a city like Abu Dhabi.

I'll leave you with some images.

Came across this house that had scary monuments at every corner. I guess no thieve will ever think of crossing over. And oh, he had the American flag above his house if that explains anything =P!

Houses celebrating by simple decorations

I find balconies covered with flowers very pretty

Farmers celebrating today, the funny part I was not able to capture was a farmer sitting in the middle of the hay on the truck.
