Recess with Princess

Today we had a lovely morning visit by Princess Benedikte of Denmark. I loved how well-rounded she was, a very sweet & sophisticated lady!

Seems like my photographic skills are going down the drain ;P! (if I had any to begin with).

Thursdays #9

This week was full of accomplishment, thankfully. I truly enjoyed it regardless of how stressful it got at times!

The week began with an event my club was hosting & we had to go during our weekend to decorate. Yes it was a bummer going on weekends but we enjoyed our time and had the chance to drive 4-wheel bikes around the University courtyard. That was fun!


One thing really annoyed me this week is when I consume a lot of time to meet deadlines and then be faced with teachers extending the deadline because some students did not finish their work. SERIOUSLY? grow up girls. Some teachers are overly nice and some girls are overly lazy.

Anyways! now to the big news!

Remember when I went for an interview in Dubai for The Manchester Innovation Award here. Yesterday was the ceremony and WE PLACED SECOND!


I am very thrilled especially because we did so well and we were one of the youngest participants. Another accomplishment pushing me to want further success! 7emdella.

Eid

Her 11th Birthday

Found this wish-list of gifts from my sister for her 11th Birthday! Yes it's all pets. I rather get her something hairless and more feathery. Might get a parrot if not a cat!

Reflective photography

I was giving reflective photography a shot today! It is a very very interesting technique that requires a SERIOUS amount of imagination. The most challenging thing is to keep the mirrors clean while shooting!

Thursdays #8

8 weeks, 2 months, are finally down. Have I accomplished much? any goals achieved? well I shouldn't be hard on myself, this year shall be a great one Inshalla and these questions should be answered soon.

This week major highlight is the weather, it really changes the mood and brings some happiness! So this post photographs is a taste of the awesome weather and clouds.

True Loyalty

It get's on my nerves when people say, "I am a PROUD Emarati" and they actually do nothing worth pride back! Next time, when you want to celebrate your national day, think if anything you did was worth celebrating.

Loyalty to your land is not about the numbers of flags you carry or the songs you sing or the long car parade you join in national day. True loyalty is about doing the best you can for your land because HERE is where you belong.

Thursdays #7

Week 7! oh my oh my. Day's are running by and I am still trying to catch up! This week was very interesting. I loved, hated and enjoyed it to all bits. Yesterday we were given our internship forms to fill and sadly I am not too excited since my internship will be on campus. But I am willing to be optimistic! after all, I want to be a PROVOST one day.

Moral of the week
Distance is never a matter.

Week Highlights

• In leadership class I failed to remember what was the role of the "skunk" in management. (I still argue the silliness of this course)
• Every downturn is followed by an upturn

Got the chance to see the University from over the roof! between the clouds I was!
